Carrickalinga Ocean Pool

Haycock Point Ocean Pool

plus a new carpark with change rooms, toilets and kiosk

This idea is a bit out there – and does not consider any environmental impacts to the area.

Introducing an ocean pool, similar to those at Bondi or Bronte in Sydney, could be a fantastic addition to the Carrickalinga Beach region. This would create a unique and safe swimming location, enhancing the area’s appeal to visitors and locals alike.

To support this, an expansion of the car park at Haycock Point and the addition of bitumen will provide easier access to the beach. A kiosk, changeroom, and toilet facilities will also be constructed to meet the needs of the community.

Moreover, we can consider partially rebuilding the Carrickalinga Jetty on its previous path, connecting the car park, kiosk, and the new ocean pool. This reconstruction can be extended out into the water to provide a picturesque and safe platform for fishing, swimming, and other water-based activities. Overall, these developments will help to create a thriving beach community in Carrickalinga.

Mock-up of the idea is to the right.
